Body mass index (English: body mass index (BMI), BMI) is a value that allows you to assess the degree of correspondence between a person’s weight and his height and thereby indirectly assess whether the weight is insufficient, normal or excessive.
Body mass index is calculated using the formula:

m – body weight in kilograms
h – height in meters
In accordance with WHO recommendations, the following interpretation of BMI indicators has been developed:

It should be noted that body mass index is recommended to be calculated for men and women aged 20-65 years. When using BMI to evaluate the physique of professional athletes or adolescents (under 18 years of age), the results obtained may be incorrect.
